# SAFEHOUSE --- LOCATION SHEET v1.0
**Status:** Active Canon Reference\
**Location:** Watson, Night City\
**Legal / Paper Owner:** O'Sullivan SAS\
**Primary Function:** Home, secure residence, operational base, social
center, workshop site, and protected meeting location.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# I. IDENTITY & STATUS
The Safehouse occupies the **entire upper floor of a former two-story
commercial building in Watson**.
On paper, the building is owned by **O'Sullivan SAS**.
The Safehouse is not merely an operational site. It is a functioning
home. Its physical organization supports both security and ordinary
domestic life, and its narrative identity depends on both remaining true
at the same time.
The Safehouse should feel inhabited rather than staged: people cook,
work, sleep, argue, recover, host friends, prepare for jobs, leave
equipment lying around, make coffee, celebrate, and return home.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# II. BUILDING CONTEXT
- Former commercial building.
- Two stories above ground.
- The Safehouse occupies the **entire upper floor**.
- The building also includes a **Safehouse-controlled underground
parking / bulk-storage level**.
- Street-level access connects to the dedicated stair route leading to
the Safehouse.
- The building is in **Watson**.
- Exact street, exterior dimensions, compass orientation, façade
layout, and neighboring businesses are **not currently locked
canon**.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# III. ACCESS & SECURITY
## III.1 Street Entrance
Access from the street begins at an **armored lower door**.
The lower door uses an **automatic arrival / identity recognition
system**.
Recognition at the lower access point can identify an authorized arrival
and transmit that information upward before the person reaches the
Safehouse proper.
The lower door is therefore both:
- a physical security barrier; and
- an automated identification checkpoint.
Automatic recognition does **not** imply automatic access through the
upper Safehouse door.
## III.2 Main Stairwell
From the street-level entrance, a dedicated stair route leads upward
toward the Safehouse.
This stair route creates physical separation between the street and the
residential level.
## III.3 Upper Safehouse Door
The actual entrance into the Safehouse is a second **armored door** at
the upper level.
This door is **always opened manually from the Safehouse side**.
It does not automatically open merely because the lower recognition
system has identified an authorized person.
The upper entrance has a **doorbell / camera-image system** allowing
occupants to see arrivals before opening the door.
The security sequence is therefore:
> **Street → armored lower door / automatic recognition → stairwell →
> armored upper door / manual opening → Safehouse**
The two armored doors are separate security boundaries with different
operating logic.
## III.4 Arrival Information
Authorized recognition at the lower level can produce identity / arrival
information on a display inside the Safehouse before the visitor reaches
the upper door.
The upper doorbell remains a separate event.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# IV. VERTICAL STRUCTURE
The Safehouse complex operates across several vertically connected zones
even though the actual residence occupies one floor.
## IV.1 Rooftop
A usable rooftop exists above the Safehouse.
Access is by **ladder located beside the reinforced upper Safehouse
door**.
The rooftop is an accessible location, not merely exterior scenery.
No additional permanent rooftop structures are currently locked canon.
## IV.2 Safehouse / Upper Floor
The entire upper floor forms the primary Safehouse.
Confirmed functions on this level include:
- main living / common area;
- kitchen;
- Triad bedroom;
- six additional bedrooms;
- two bathrooms;
- Brenda's workshop;
- two storage rooms;
- large balcony area;
- circulation / hallway space;
- upper armored entrance.
## IV.3 Ground / Street Level
The ground level contains the street-access route into the building and
the internal connection between underground access and the stairs
leading toward the Safehouse.
The Safehouse does **not** occupy the commercial ground-floor space as
ordinary residential floor area unless later canon explicitly
establishes otherwise.
## IV.4 Underground Level
The Safehouse property includes an **underground parking / large-item
storage area**.
Its currently established practical use is primarily **parking**.
The underground level is suitable for storing larger objects, but no
specific permanent inventory should be assumed unless established by
story canon.
Stairs lead from the underground level to ground level. From there, an
internal route connects to the stair system leading to the Safehouse
above.
Conceptual route:
> **Underground parking / bulk storage → stairs → ground-level interior
> connection → Safehouse stair route → upper armored door**
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# V. PRIMARY SPATIAL TOPOLOGY
Exact dimensions and compass directions are deliberately not locked.
The following relationships are established strongly enough for
production use:
> **Upper armored entrance → central / living zone**
The upper entrance opens directly into, or immediately adjacent to, the
principal inhabited area. Arriving characters can encounter people in
the living area without a long intermediate route.
> **Main living / common area ↔ kitchen**
The kitchen is immediately accessible from the central living zone.
Characters routinely move between them during continuous conversation.
> **Main living / central zone ↔ hallway / residential circulation**
The hallway leads away from the central social area toward the bedrooms.
> **Central / hallway junction ↔ Brenda's workshop**
Brenda's workshop is close enough to the main circulation and living
area that movement, voices, mechanical noise, and activity can carry
between them.
> **Hallway → bedroom zone**
The Triad bedroom, Brenda and Iris's bedroom, and the remaining extra
bedrooms belong to this residential circulation system.
> **Hallway end → shared bathroom**
The second bathroom is located at the end of the extra-bedroom hallway.
> **Triad bedroom → private ensuite bathroom**
The Triad bedroom has its own bathroom.
These relationships define **topology**, not an architectural floor
plan.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# VI. MAIN LIVING / COMMON AREA
The Safehouse has a large principal communal space referred to in story
usage as the **living room**, **common room**, or **main living area**.
These terms should normally be treated as the same central social zone
unless future canon explicitly distinguishes them.
Confirmed or strongly established features include:
- a substantial couch;
- chairs;
- table / table space;
- adjustable interior lighting;
- enough open floor space for several people to gather comfortably;
- direct or near-direct connection to the kitchen;
- easy access to the residential hallway;
- close relationship to Brenda's workshop;
- proximity to the upper entrance.
The couch has enough clearance around it for people to move fully around
it.
This is the **social center of gravity** of the Safehouse.
Typical uses include:
- casual conversation;
- group meetings;
- celebrations;
- decompression after work;
- coffee;
- arguments;
- waiting for arrivals;
- demonstrations of Brenda's inventions;
- relationship and family moments;
- informal planning.
The room should feel like a lived-in home first and a briefing room only
when the characters make it one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# VII. KITCHEN
A dedicated kitchen exists adjacent to or immediately accessible from
the main living area.
Confirmed usage includes:
- making and carrying coffee;
- food preparation;
- eating;
- gathering during ordinary domestic activity;
- private or semi-private conversation slightly removed from the
living-room group.
A counter exists and can be leaned against.
Tables used for food, dessert, drinks, or communal activity may be
located in the kitchen or central living zone; their exact architectural
placement is not currently locked.
Do not invent a detailed appliance inventory unless a story requires and
establishes it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# VIII. RESIDENTIAL WING
The Safehouse contains:
- **one Triad bedroom**; and
- **six additional bedrooms**.
Total established bedrooms:
> **7 bedrooms**
The bedrooms are reached through the residential hallway / circulation
zone.
## VIII.1 Triad Bedroom
The Triad bedroom belongs to:
- Ace;
- Mai;
- Shammy.
It is their shared private room and the most private established
domestic zone in the Safehouse.
The room contains a shared bed and normal personal storage / dressing
functionality as required by established story use.
It has a **private ensuite bathroom**.
Narratively, the Triad bedroom is where the scale of the Safehouse
contracts from communal home to the Triad's private life.
Do not treat the room as a ceremonial romance set. It is an ordinary,
heavily familiar bedroom that has accumulated relationship history.
## VIII.2 Six Extra Bedrooms
Six additional bedrooms exist.
One is currently established as the shared bedroom of:
- **Brenda**
- **Iris**
The permanent or temporary assignment of the remaining five rooms is
**not locked by this sheet**.
Do not automatically assign a room to every recurring Safehouse visitor.
In particular, visiting, working from the Safehouse, being family, or
frequently sleeping over does not by itself establish permanent
residence.
## VIII.3 Brenda & Iris Bedroom
Brenda and Iris live at the Safehouse and share one of the six extra
bedrooms.
Their room is located along the residential hallway.
Voices can carry from their closed room into the hallway / central home
strongly enough for comedic or ordinary household interaction.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# IX. BATHROOMS
The Safehouse has exactly **two established bathrooms**.
## IX.1 Triad Ensuite
Located directly in connection with the Triad bedroom.
Primary use is private to the Triad unless story circumstances establish
otherwise.
## IX.2 Shared Hallway Bathroom
Located at the **end of the extra-bedroom hallway**.
This serves the additional bedrooms and general residential needs.
Do not create additional bathrooms, guest toilets, or washrooms without
an explicit canon update.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# X. BRENDA'S WORKSHOP
Brenda has a dedicated workshop / workroom inside the Safehouse.
It is a distinct room with a door that can be opened or closed.
The workshop is close to the main living and circulation areas.
Established characteristics:
- active technical workspace;
- machinery and tools may produce audible noise elsewhere in the
Safehouse;
- prototypes can be brought directly from the workshop into the common
area;
- the room is recognizably Brenda's working territory;
- workshop activity is part of the normal acoustic life of the home.
The workshop should not be treated as a generic laboratory.
It is a working room shaped by Brenda's habits, projects, improvisation,
and ongoing technical activity.
Exact benches, machine inventory, dimensions, ventilation systems, and
equipment layout remain story-dependent unless separately locked.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XI. STORAGE
The Safehouse contains **two separate storage rooms**.
## XI.1 General Storage
One room is used for ordinary storage.
Exact inventory is not permanently fixed.
## XI.2 Secure Storage
The second room functions as **secure storage**.
It provides protected storage for items requiring greater access control
or security.
The Safehouse does **not** have a dedicated armory.
Weapons or operational equipment may be stored securely where canon
permits, but writers should not silently transform the secure storage
room into an armory.
## XI.3 Underground Bulk Storage
The underground parking area can also support storage of physically
large items.
This is distinct from the two upper-floor storage rooms.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XII. BALCONY
The upper Safehouse level includes a **large balcony / terrace area**.
It is large enough to function as a genuine communal outdoor space
rather than a narrow architectural balcony.
Established use includes:
- grill evenings;
- group socializing;
- relaxed outdoor time.
The balcony is part of Safehouse domestic life.
Exact access door, compass orientation, railing design, street view,
furniture inventory, and dimensions are not currently locked.
Do not assume the balcony and rooftop are the same space.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XIII. ROOFTOP
The building's rooftop is separately accessible.
Access is via **ladder beside the upper reinforced / armored Safehouse
door**.
The rooftop is distinct from the large balcony.
Its exact dimensions, equipment, sightlines, defensive use, utility
structures, and furnishings remain unlocked unless established
elsewhere.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XIV. UNDERGROUND PARKING / BULK STORAGE
The underground area belongs to the Safehouse property.
Primary established function:
- secure / private parking.
Secondary structural capability:
- storage of large objects.
The parking area connects upward by stairs to ground level and from
there internally to the route leading toward the Safehouse stairwell.
Do not assume the underground level contains:
- a workshop;
- an armory;
- living quarters;
- a command center;
- a vehicle lift;
- a hidden tunnel;
- direct stair access into the upper residence;
unless later canon establishes one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XV. CURRENT RESIDENCY & USE
## XV.1 Confirmed Residents
Confirmed Safehouse residents include:
- Ace;
- Mai;
- Shammy;
- Brenda;
- Iris.
Ace, Mai, and Shammy share the Triad bedroom.
Brenda and Iris share one extra bedroom.
## XV.2 Frequent Visitors / Family Are Not Automatically Residents
Reyes and Kiro are established as people who can come over, spend
significant time at the Safehouse, and function as family without
thereby becoming permanent residents.
The same distinction applies generally:
> **Safehouse family status ≠ permanent room assignment.**
Permanent occupancy should be established explicitly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XVI. SECURITY BEHAVIOR
Security should be written as habitual infrastructure rather than
constant exposition.
Normal arrival behavior:
1. A person reaches the armored street-level access.
2. The lower system recognizes / identifies the arrival where
applicable.
3. Arrival information can appear inside the Safehouse.
4. The person ascends the stair route.
5. The upper doorbell / camera provides immediate arrival confirmation.
6. Someone inside manually opens the armored upper door.
7. The upper door is manually closed again.
The Safehouse therefore combines automated awareness with deliberate
human control.
This is intentional.
> **Recognition is automatic. Final entry is human.**
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XVII. ACOUSTIC & SOCIAL GEOGRAPHY
The Safehouse is not acoustically sterile.
Sound can carry between:
- workshop and central living area;
- hallway and living area;
- bedrooms and hallway;
- communal spaces during ordinary household activity.
This supports the established feeling that people remain present in the
home even when they are not in the same room.
Closed doors create privacy, but not necessarily perfect acoustic
isolation.
Do not treat every room as soundproof unless canon specifically
establishes it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XVIII. NARRATIVE GEOGRAPHY
## XVIII.1 Common Room --- The Home's Center
The common/living area is where the household becomes visible as a
household.
It is appropriate for:
- arrivals;
- reunions;
- group comedy;
- family arguments;
- announcements;
- celebrations;
- spontaneous gatherings;
- ordinary coexistence.
## XVIII.2 Kitchen --- Domestic Side Channel
The kitchen allows conversation to step slightly away from the central
group without becoming formally private.
It is appropriate for:
- coffee;
- food;
- quieter conversations;
- people drifting in and out;
- morning and late-night domestic beats.
## XVIII.3 Hallway --- Transition Space
The residential hallway is useful as a threshold between communal and
private life.
Characters may stop there, overhear others, choose whether to enter a
room, or move between group life and private space.
## XVIII.4 Triad Bedroom --- Inner Home
The Triad bedroom is not simply another bedroom.
Narratively it represents the private interior of Ace, Mai, and Shammy's
shared life.
## XVIII.5 Workshop --- Brenda's Territory
The workshop gives Brenda spatial ownership inside the Safehouse.
Her work can intrude acoustically or physically into communal life,
which is part of the home's established rhythm.
## XVIII.6 Balcony --- Communal Outdoor Home
The balcony extends Safehouse social life outside without leaving home.
Grill evenings and similar gatherings belong naturally here.
## XVIII.7 Rooftop --- Separate Exterior Layer
The rooftop is a distinct accessible exterior space with a different
relationship to the home than the balcony.
Do not collapse rooftop and balcony into one location.
## XVIII.8 Underground Parking --- Operational Threshold
The parking level is where vehicles and large physical logistics can
enter the Safehouse property without becoming part of the upper-floor
domestic environment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XIX. KNOWN ROUTES
## XIX.1 Normal Street Arrival
> Street → armored lower door → recognition → stairwell → armored upper
> door → main Safehouse / living zone
## XIX.2 Underground Arrival
> Underground parking → stairs → ground-level internal connection →
> upper stair route → armored upper door → Safehouse
## XIX.3 Communal to Private
> Living/common area → hallway → residential rooms
## XIX.4 Triad Night Route
> Common area → hallway → Triad bedroom → ensuite bathroom
## XIX.5 Guest / Resident Bathroom Route
> Extra-bedroom hallway → shared bathroom at hallway end
## XIX.6 Workshop Route
> Central / hallway area → Brenda's workshop
## XIX.7 Rooftop Route
> Upper entrance area → ladder beside upper armored door → rooftop
Exact distances are not canon unless separately established.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XX. PHYSICAL CHARACTER
The Safehouse should not read as a pristine luxury apartment or
anonymous tactical bunker.
It is:
- secure;
- practical;
- heavily lived in;
- capable of supporting operational work;
- domestic;
- social;
- occasionally chaotic;
- historically imperfect.
The building has been described through the household's history as
capable of becoming **occasionally bullet-damaged**.
Repairs, wear, improvised solutions, technical additions, and
accumulated domestic history are compatible with the location.
Security and warmth coexist.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XXI. PRODUCTION RULES FOR WRITERS
## XXI.1 Do Not Invent Geometry Casually
If a scene requires movement between known spaces, use the established
topology.
Do not casually establish:
- compass directions;
- exact room dimensions;
- exact corridor lengths;
- exact balcony orientation;
- exact window placement;
- a new staircase;
- an elevator;
- a new exterior entrance;
- an additional bathroom;
- an additional bedroom;
- a direct underground-to-residence staircase;
unless the addition is deliberately approved as new canon.
## XXI.2 Topology Before Blueprint
The Safehouse has reliable **relationships between spaces**, but no
fully locked architectural blueprint.
Writers may stage scenes flexibly inside those relationships.
## XXI.3 Home Before Headquarters
Even during operational scenes, remember that people live here.
Coffee, clothing, food, unfinished projects, closed bedroom doors,
conversations through walls, furniture, visitors, laughter, recovery,
and ordinary irritation are part of the location's identity.
## XXI.4 Security Without Ritualized Exposition
Characters familiar with the Safehouse do not explain its security
systems to one another every time someone arrives.
Show systems through behavior.
## XXI.5 Residence Is Canon
Do not assign a permanent bedroom or Safehouse residency merely for
convenience.
## XXI.6 No Armory
There is no dedicated armory.
Secure storage is not automatically an armory.
## XXI.7 Balcony ≠ Rooftop
They are separate spaces with separate access and narrative uses.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XXII. DO NOT ASSUME / CURRENTLY UNLOCKED
Unless established by later canon, do **not** assume:
- exact exterior appearance;
- exact street address;
- compass orientation;
- exact floor dimensions;
- exact room dimensions;
- exact bedroom order along the hallway;
- which five remaining extra bedrooms belong to whom;
- additional bathrooms;
- dedicated armory;
- elevator;
- rooftop structures;
- balcony orientation or exact access point;
- fire escape;
- exact number or position of windows;
- exact kitchen appliance inventory;
- exact workshop equipment inventory;
- direct underground access into the upper residence;
- hidden tunnels;
- dedicated medical room;
- dedicated briefing room;
- dedicated gym;
- dedicated server room;
- dedicated laundry room;
- permanent defensive emplacements.
Absence from this sheet does not prove that an ordinary building feature
cannot exist. It means the feature is **not currently canon-locked and
must not become plot-relevant established geography by accident**.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
# XXIII. CANON SUMMARY
The Safehouse is a secure, inhabited upper-floor home in a former
commercial building in Watson, legally owned by O'Sullivan SAS.
Its defining physical logic is layered access:
> **underground / street → controlled building access → armored lower
> security boundary → stair route → manually controlled armored upper
> boundary → home**
Its defining internal logic is:
> **central communal life → residential hallway → private rooms**
Its defining social logic is:
> **home first, operational base second --- without ever ceasing to be
> secure.**
The Safehouse works because its defenses do not erase its warmth, and
its warmth does not erase the fact that the people living there have
reasons to need armored doors.
